Bowfell Road

Our setting

We are based inside the 2nd Davyhulme scout hut on Bowfell road (opposite Urmston leisure centre). The nursery boasts key features that are proven to encourage children’s learning and development through play. The nursery contains two open-plan rooms consisting of areas such as role play, construction, maths, reading, messy (sand, water, tuff trays etc), arts and craft as well as a themed area. The children have an input in what happens here, they may be really interested in dinosaurs or doctors so the corner gets changed for them to explore role playing doctors or searching for dinosaur fossils. Each of our rooms consists of resources to develop all 7 areas of learning.

All our resources are at low level, making everything accessible for children of all ages and abilities.

We have 2 large garden areas, the smaller of the 2 has been fitted with all-weather artificial grass meaning we can play out in all weather. Key features of our garden include, mud kitchens, slides and hideaways, mark making & reading areas along with messy play areas such as sand, water, tuff trays and mud kitchens.

Our larger garden is perfect for sports activities, bug hunts, treasure hunts and picnics.
